Looking around the nursery

Parents are able to look around the nursery by booking an appointment. Please telephone the Nursery Manager on 01484 711015.

Appointments are usually available each day at either 10.00am, 2.00pm or 6.30pm.

We limit visits to the nursery to reduce the disruption to the children in our care.

Sign a contract

To secure your child's place you are required to sign a Childcare Contract.  Places can be secured up to 1 year in advance. It is a very popular nursery and places are limited, so we encourage parents to plan well ahead of time.

Home visits

All new children entering the nursery for the first time are carefully supported in their transition into the nursery. Each child's emotional well-being is of paramount importance.

Home visits are arranged for all new children joining the nursery.

3 Induction Visits

The support is facilitated through a combination of home visits, induction vists and the use of a key person system.

We arrange home visits to discuss with parents their child's care and development to ensure we have the essental information prior to the first day of care.

Each new child entering the nursery will have three free induction sessions to ease the transition into full-time care.

Parents Evenings

All parents have two opportunities each year to discuss in detail their child's progress and be involved in the planning for their 'next steps'.

Parents evening appointments occur twice a year.

The next Parents Evening will be in October 2024.

Key Person

A key worker system operates and a practitioner takes prime responsibility for each child's care and learning. A child's key person is also a vital link in the communication between nursery and parents.

Learning Journal

A Learning Journal is compiled for all children. The Journal is a record of observations and other evidence of a child's care and development. Journals are available to parents at all times.
